ABOUT US
Turning Harvests Into Hope
Dixie’s Harvest for Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in North Carolina. Our mission is simple but powerful: to transform donated venison, fish, and other wild game into hot meals and frozen food for families impacted by natural disasters.
As the owners of Dixie Deer Processing, we saw firsthand how the local harvest could be a lifeline for people in difficult times. Especially in the aftermath of natural disasters, like hurricanes, the need for fresh, nourishing food is vital.
When Hurricane Helene struck North Carolina, the devastation left many families without food, power, or access to basic needs. We felt called to do something—and what started as a single act of compassion quickly grew into something much bigger.
We realized that with the right structure, community support, and a deep love for the outdoors, we could create something lasting. That’s how Dixie’s Harvest for Hope was born.
Why We Do It
At the heart of everything we do is this belief: No family should face disaster alone.
We believe in using the resources God provides—through the land, the water, and the people around us—to care for our neighbors when they need it most.
Whether it’s one deer, one fish, or one freezer, every donation helps us feed a family in need. From cooking hot meals on-site in disaster zones to distributing frozen meat to affected communities, we are committed to delivering hope, nourishment, and comfort—one harvest at a time.
Our Roots & Values
Faith-led service: We trust God’s provision and seek to be His hands and feet during times of crisis.
Community-powered: Everything we do is made possible by hunters, anglers, donors, and volunteers.
Outdoors-driven: We cherish the outdoors and believe in using every harvest with purpose and respect.
Hope-focused: In the darkest moments, we strive to bring light, love, and nourishment to those who need it most.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or simply help spread the word, you’re becoming part of something meaningful—and we’re grateful you’re here.
